The Dane Axe, Broadaxe or Long axe is a two handed early medieval weapon with a very long shaft; Typically up to 6foot. Designed to take on almost anything apart from those pesky archers. The most infamous tale was from Stanford Bridge where it was said that a single Dane held back the entire English army, killing around 50 enemy soldiers including a horseman and his mount.

Axe Care instructions:
•Carbon steel will rust so please use oil after use. I recommend Mineral Oil as it can be used on the handle and leather sheath too, veg oil can also be used.
• If stored in leather sheath, oil and then wrap in plastic, clingfilm works great. This is to prevent rusting.
