Here we have a Freya fighting off a feral Wolf dressed as a fearsome Shield Maiden (skjaldmær in old Norse). These were maidens who threw down with any male counterpart of their time and stood shield to shield with any warrior!
There are numerous graves and finds to back up mythology showing rich, powerful women buried as warriors too 🍻💪
