Medieval Whet Stone - Viking Sharpening Stone
As a Bushcraft Instructor and Viking Reenactor I wanted to make some authentic medieval Whet Stones.

As they are made and polished by hand all details are estimated.

7x2x1cm (ish)
Stone - Millstone Grit
Whet Stone History:
The word Whet actually means ‘to sharpen a blade’ rather than wetting the stone before you use it!
Quarried from my own garden! Luckily I live in an area that has Millstone Grit which is great for Whet Stones.
