Viking Sea Chest - Small

A Tabletop Sea Chest - perfect for your valuables, herbs or medicines. I hold my Viking Medicines and herbs in mine :)
These have also been used as Viking Ashes Urns. As you can see from the photos each one is hand made and so slightly different. I will reach out to you to ensure you get exactly what you want :)

Plain Hardwood - Made from the offspring of the mighty Yggdrasil, the world tree. Ash is strong and beautiful.
Carved Top - Simple Carving on lid, bind rune or simple design
Carved Ends - Carve both sides of the chest with any design you want
Carved Top and Sides - Fully carved with any designs or ideas you want

Sea Chest History:

There are numerous finds with regards to Sea Chests. From the Oesberg Ship burial to the Mastermyr Tool Box. What sets aside Sea Chests from wooden boxes is the amount of complexity in the making. Each side uses different cuts to add strength, this was needed as this all in one piece of furniture was used as Luggage, Rowing Benches and being thrown around on board Longships in the North Sea!
