Loki grins. He always grins. The trickster god, the shape-shifter, the father of monsters — and he knows exactly what his children will do to the world.
Below him, three figures carved in horn: Fenrir, the great wolf bound by the gods until Ragnarök, when he will break free and swallow Odin whole. Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent, cast into the ocean by Odin where he grew until he encircled the entire earth — destined to meet Thor one final time. And Hel, half living, half dead, ruler of the realm of the dishonoured dead, who will sail her ship of corpses to the last battle.
Three children. Three catastrophes. One grinning father who saw it all coming.
