Most dice are made in a factory. These are carved from real ox horn — the same material Vikings used for drinking vessels, tools, and trade goods for thousands of years. No two are identical. Each set carries the natural grain, colour, and character of the horn it came from.

If you're going to roll for your fate, you might as well do it with something that has history in its bones.

A Brief History of Dice

Dice have been used since before recorded history, believed to have evolved from fortune-telling with knucklebones. Found in Egypt from 4000 BCE, Iran between 2800–2500 BCE, and Scotland's Skara Brae from 3100–2400 BCE. This style is inspired by dice discovered in a Viking burial ground in Gotland, Sweden.
