I bought several sets of the hinges and locks for some Norse style chests I was making. All I can say is this craftsman is excellent, the hinges work really well and are in keeping with my project. The lock and key is to the same superb standard, work well and really finish a sea chest off perfectly. I'm very happy with my purchases, fast delivery and well packaged. Excellent value for money considering the work that must go into these items.

To the Vikings, the wolf represented protection, trust, strength and loyalty. Fenrir — the great wolf of Norse myth — is cast here in bronze-style stainless steel, his head forming the terminals of a twisted rope arm ring based on an authentic historical find.
Arm rings held deep significance in the Viking Age. Lords bestowed them to secure bonds of fealty — evidenced in Scandinavian sagas and the Old English epic Beowulf. They marked the transition to adulthood and were used as currency: silver and gold versions have been found 'clipped', pieces cut off to pay for goods. To wear one was to carry both status and story.
