I bought several sets of the hinges and locks for some Norse style chests I was making. All I can say is this craftsman is excellent, the hinges work really well and are in keeping with my project. The lock and key is to the same superb standard, work well and really finish a sea chest off perfectly. I'm very happy with my purchases, fast delivery and well packaged. Excellent value for money considering the work that must go into these items.

Horn vessels may be among the oldest containers ever used by humans — a theory supported by logic if not yet by archaeology. Long before pottery, before carved wood, the hollow horn was already there: watertight, naturally shaped, and ready to use. It's a compelling thought.
What we know for certain is that by the Viking Age, horn was a prized material. The Oseberg ship burial (834 AD) contained horn cups. Norse sagas reference the mead-horn as a ceremonial object. Medieval horners were a recognised guild trade across England. Horn was valued not just for its practicality, but for its beauty — no two pieces alike, each with its own natural patterning of translucent layers and colour.
These large horn bowls carry that same character. Each one is completely individual — the pattern, colour, and depth of the horn means what you receive is genuinely one of a kind. Stunning as a fruit bowl, a serving bowl, a display piece, or a centrepiece for a Viking or medieval-themed table.
Authentic across virtually every living history period — Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, Viking, Saxon, medieval. Horn is one of the few materials that spans the entire human story.
