Sharpening Steel — Brass-Capped Pocket Honing Steel

A sharp knife is a safe knife. This pocket honing steel keeps your blade in working condition between full sharpenings — the same principle the top chefs use, in a form you can carry in your pocket or hang from your sheath.

At approximately 10cm (4") long with a brass cap, it's sized for field use. Use it periodically while you're working, and before and after each session. It won't replace a full sharpening stone when your edge is gone, but it'll keep a sharp blade sharp for far longer.

Pairs well with any of the knives and seax in the shop.
