Horns in History:
Drinking horns were used throughout Europe (Viking, Greek, Roman, Germanic tribes, and Saxons) up to around the 12th century, when pottery started to become more widespread.
How to Clean a Drinking Horn:
Rinse with warm, soapy water.
Allow to dry completely.
Apply a food-grade oil; mineral or vegetable oil is acceptable.
If you notice a persistent odor, soak in a mixture of white vinegar and water for a couple of hours.
DO NOT use a dishwasher or hot water.
