I bought several sets of the hinges and locks for some Norse style chests I was making. All I can say is this craftsman is excellent, the hinges work really well and are in keeping with my project. The lock and key is to the same superb standard, work well and really finish a sea chest off perfectly. I'm very happy with my purchases, fast delivery and well packaged. Excellent value for money considering the work that must go into these items.

The Moon Maiden's Cord — Viking Lunula & Stone Bead Necklace
The Moon Maiden's Cord — Viking Lunula & Stone Bead Necklace

Viking Age women often wore lunulae — crescent moon amulets — as symbols of protection, femininity, and the cycles of the natural world. They were rarely worn alone. Archaeological finds from Norway to the Dnieper show them strung alongside coloured stone and glass beads, each bead traded across vast distances and chosen for its colour and rarity.
This necklace captures that spirit. Six scrollwork silver-finish lunulae hang from a cord of multicoloured stone beads — amber, blue, green, purple, and earth tones — each one different, each one catching the light differently.
The metalwork follows authentic Viking Age lunula designs. The stone beads are modern rather than period pieces — noted for transparency.
