Horns in History

Drinking horns were used throughout Europe by Vikings, Greeks, Romans, Germanic tribes and Saxons up to around the 12th century. Plain horns predate even recorded history — making this one of the most authentic vessels you can drink from. Ornate horns later became symbols of power, used by nobles, clergy and guildsmen during ceremonies. A plain horn, however, belongs to everyone.
